Cordova LGBT and Friends

If you are a concerned voter in the Cordova Tennessee area – as I am - I hope you can attend a Town Hall meeting with us this Thursday night (March 23.)

This meeting will be hosted by YOUR Tennessee House Representative, Rep. Paul Stanley. Many of you have expressed an interest in meeting Rep.Stanley face-to-face. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!

Rep. Stanley is a very conservative, evangelical (his words) Christian and is steadfast in his anti-gay stances in theTennessee House. In fact, there is a good possibility that this week he will attach an amendment to an otherwise innocuous adoption bill that would prohibit GLBT's from not only adopting, but also from foster parenting.

Rep. Stanley is personable, but true to his interpretation of the bible that being gay is a sin and we choose to be gay. Since we choose to be gay (just like someone chooses to be an adulterer - his words,) we should have no rights. Here is your chance to make your views known and let him know that, yes indeed, GLBT people (and their supporters) live in his district and disagree with his views.

Please come to:

The Oaks Apartment Club House
1970 Appling Oaks Circle (just south of Bellevue Baptist)
7:00 - 8:00pm THURSDAY, MARCH 23

Please send this information (or personally tell others face-to-face or by phone) to all those that may be interested.

Here is Rep. Stanley's website: www.paulstanley.org

Peace.
